Meet Adam Timperley, the GoJet Airlines Crew Scheduling Manager. Adam took some time out of his day to tell us a few things about himself.
Q: What was your first aviation job?
A: My first aviation job was as a Crew Scheduler for Compass Airlines.
Q: What are three interesting facts about you?
- I was the first Minnesota National Guard soldier injured since WWII.
- I had a brief (24 hour) NHL career when I was a finalist in the Minnesota Wild’s search for an emergency backup goaltender.
- My mother and my sister wrote a children’s book about my deployment to Iraq and my separation from my daughter.
Q: Where is your favorite place to travel?
A: Anywhere with my daughter. She is my travel companion and best friend!
Q: If you could eat one food for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Q: What is your favorite sports team?
A: The LA Kings (hockey).
Q: Do you have any hidden talents? If so, what?
A: I am a passable country music singer, although being a heavy metal fan I don’t get around to actually using it much.
Q: Who is your favorite author?
A: The list of authors that have impacted or influenced my life is too long to narrow down, but based on volume and applicability of work I would have to say Leo Tolstoy.
Q: What is your favorite joke?
A: How do you catch a unique elephant? Unique up on him.
Q: What is your favorite movie?
A: Tropic Thunder
Q: What do you like best about your job?
A: My GoJet family. At the end of the day, we can all work anywhere. You have to love the people you work with for it to be truly rewarding, and I cannot think of anywhere I would rather be than here with GoJet.
